Shanghai, China – Spaniard David Ferrer took part in the 2007 Tennis Masters Cup draw ceremony at the Shanghai Hilton on Wednesday.

Round Robin Groups

Defending champion Roger Federer, a three-time winner of the circuit-finale, will challenge Nikolay Davydenko, Andy Roddick and Fernando Gonzalez in Red Group round robin action.

World No. 2 Rafael Nadal will begin proceedings on Sunday, November 11, against Richard Gasquet, who was the last to secure his Shanghai invitation. The pair was also drawn against Novak Djokovic and Ferrer in the Gold Group.

Said Ferrer: "It's a tough draw with Rafa, Novak and Richard but all opponents are very difficult here as it is only the Top 8 players in the world!

“I am excited to be in Shanghai, it is my first trip to China. I feel a bit tired now after travelling almost 24 hours with two stopovers in Madrid and Helsinki but will get in some practice this afternoon to get used to the court."

In the doubles competition, defending champions Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi have been drawn in the Gold Group against Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyett, Martin Damm and Leander Paes and Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, the late replacements for the World No. 1 duo Bob and Mike Bryan.

Two-time former finalists Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor play in the Red Group against US Open champions Simon Aspelin and Julian Knowle, Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner and Wimbledon titlists Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra.
