Federer Makes People's Sexiest List

On the eve of his final round robin match at Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai, it has been revealed that ATP World No. 1 Roger Federer will be part of “PEOPLE” magazine’s popular “Sexiest Man Alive” issue.

Roger Federer, the winner of three Grand Slam titles in 2006 and the No. 1 player in the world for more than two years, is included in the issue in a section of the magazine devoted to “Sexy Surroundings.” The 25-year-old Federer shows off Basel, Switzerland, the town where he first got involved with tennis as a ball boy at the city’s ATP event. Federer won that tournament for the first time just last month.

The “Sexiest Man Alive” issue of “People” hits streets in the U.S. on Friday, Nov. 17.

Federer must win his round robin match against Ivan Ljubicic Thursday to be guaranteed of making the Masters Cup semifinals.
